At the Oceania Australia Foundation, we believe athletes can develop their mental health just as intentionally as they develop their physical health and technical skills. POS EDGE stands for Positive Emotions, Optimism and Resilience, Strengths, Emotional Intelligence, Decision Making and Change, Goal Setting, Grit and Growth Mindset, Engagement, and Exercise. This holistic framework supports athletes in cultivating the mental fitness needed to balance Wellbeing, engagement and performance.
Our approach is rooted in continuous improvement, encouraging athletes to experiment playfully with intentional actions. By applying scientific thinking via the Learn, Grow and Flourish model, athletes can identify what works best for them, enhancing not only their Wellbeing but also their engagement, resilience, and performance. The POS EDGE journal is designed for any athlete, at any stage of their career, who is looking to integrate psychological, social and emotional Wellbeing with peak physical performance.
